Excellent start! Your facts show that immigration is a major issue that the world must respond to. What are some of the challenges immigrants in the United States face?

I saw a show on t.v and it talked about illegal immigrants escaping from their own country just to get to America but they result in being sent back to their own country or they go to jail for just doing that.

I think people don't get along with immigrants because they over crowed a place.

Gysel, how did you find out the percent of 6th graders who immigrated from another country? I think your group should conduct a school-wide survey, by asking students in each class if they were born here or migrated from another country. You can also ask what country they came from. Then, in your presentation, you can engage the audience by saying, "In P.S102 _______ % of students came here from another country. Here are some of the countries that are represented in our school_________________________." This will help the audience to personally connect to your topic.

Gysel, Kezia, and Lekdhen since we did an essay about immigration, how about getting some facts from a text book or in the internet of about (estimated form) people immigrating to a country?
