1. Industry is not the only source of pollution.

2. Trash that we throw away may pollute the soil, water, or air.

3. Pollution can cause harmful climate changes.

4. In Russia, when ships are no longer in use. They break them and dump it in the sea.

5. Scientists, the Government , and businesses are trying to stop pollution by creating meetings to think about how to stop it.  

6. The Boston area ranks no. 5 in the country for premature deaths due to diesel pollution.

7. Automobiles are a major source of pollution.

8. Countries that have the highest pollution rates include, Azerbaijan, China, India, Peru, Russia, Ukraine and Zambia.

9. One major causes of Pollution is deforestation.  Different types of pollution include, polluted rivers, sound Pollution, and air pollution.

10. Peoples health is suffering and people are becoming sick as a result of pollution.  One result of pollution can be blindness.

11. Hybrid cars can help the environment because they use less gasoline and oil than regular cars that run on fuel.

15. Many scientists believe that air pollution can cause higher temperatures or other changes in our climate.

16. Communist era, coal-mining and steel production in Southern Poland caused terrible pollution. This pollution destroyed much of the forests in the southern Poland.  

17. U.S dumps approximately 2.2 billion pounds of pesticides each year. Pesticides can harm living plants, and kill organisms underwater.

18. U.S factories spew 3 million tons of toxic chemicals to the air, land, or water.

19. Every human has enough carbon dioxin in their body. The level of the carbon dioxide is high enough to harm them.

20. U.S Government banned use of CFC leaking items, such as CFC Spray cans, and CFC Refrigerator. The CFC Chemicals breaks up the O-Zone layer molecules. Air-Conditioners also use CFC, but the government didn't ban it because of its use to people in summer.
